Special Holiday Session

Christmas is a season of the year we all cherish, and reminds us of our childhood, families and good times together. This holiday season I photographed a number of sessions but I wanted to share a few images of this special Christmas session.  It was my client’s idea to have the kids decorate cookies and enjoy the holiday tradition with Christmas music, gingerbread house and delicious cookies. The kids had so much fun decorating, showing their master pieces, and posing for the camera. These photos will remind them of the Christmas cheer and good times at this time of the year.  Memories they would cherish for years.

Their mom decided to use the images for their Christmas card, which actually turned out very unique and original. The card has a modern and clean design, featuring some of the photos from the session.  Take a look at the images to get more of this story.

Fall Favorites

We have been so lucky with the weather in Chicago this season. We’ve been having such a great fall with plenty of color to photograph. I tried to take advantage of the warmer days to shoot outside and to create some great portraits using the autumn foliage. Once the leaves turn into yellow, red and golden, then it’s my favorite time of the year to photograph. I spent as much time as I could at different parks and took my son to different locations. I feel pretty satisfied with the results, and now it’s time to order some collages, and may be some canvas. Next, I will have to find some time for Christmas photos and cards. It’s been a really busy season.

Halloween Session

This boy came for a Halloween session dressed up as a cowboy. He just turned 18 months, and his family wanted a studio session. I’ve been photographing him and his family for about a year. It’s been a pleasure to see them come back every few months. I’ve really enjoyed capturing his looks and milestones. I can’t wait for his 2nd birthday.

Outside Session for 1st Birthday

This little guy will be turning ONE next month. His family wanted to go out for a laidback photo session in their garden. The weather was beautiful, and this boy was so relaxed. He did really well in front of the camera, and kept me giving me such cute expressions. I enjoyed him and his family so much. Here are a few sneak peek photos.

Autumn Sessions

This family was my first session for the fall season. They wanted to do family portraits in the park. These sessions are so popular in September and October.  The fall foliage creates beautiful sceneries.  The yellow, green and golden tones are perfect for portraits outside.  Schedule your session while the weather still permits for photos in the park or backyard.

On a Personal Note

I wanted to share with you something more about me and my family. Originally, I’m from Bulgaria, and English is my 2nd language. I have a boy, Martin, who is year and seven months old. He is a very active boy, full of energy and loves to explore the world. My husband is very supportive of my business, and sometimes he acts as my assistant. He is a great photographer too however he has his own business. He does commercial wiring and network solutions. His website is www.orbitelgroup.com.

For many years, I worked as a business analyst in the financial industry. As matter of fact, I love new technologies and software, and enjoy spending a good amount of time on my computer.  My other interests are psychology and artificial intelligence. At some point of my life, I was thinking about becoming a psychologist.  This was one of my ideas that did not happen. Instead I went to DePaul University and studied Information Systems.

Photography has always been my hobby however after the birth of my son my interest exploded. I was determined to take my skills and knowledge to the next level. I became so involved that I decided to start my own business and to dedicate my time and efforts to photography. In the mean time, I said  “Good Bye” to my day job at the bank, and became free to devote all my energy to my business.  I’m very passionate about photography and I love what I do.  This is what drives me, and this is what motivates me in my life. I’m always thinking about creating the next large print for my walls or the next beautiful photo book.

I’m looking forward to sharing my passion with you, and creating timeless memories for you and your families.
