St. Jude Fashion Show

15th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show

I had the pleasure to photograph the 15th annual fashion show event to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Over one thousand women attended the event to support the mission of this great organization.

This year the fashion show was presented by Saks Fifth Avenue, and some of the special guests were: Jesse White - Secretary of State, Robin Robinson and Jeff Goldblatt, anchors of Fox Chicago News, and a little girl, patient of St. Jude Hospital.

Dior Beauty provided complimentary make up in the lobby while Swarosvski had special necklaces for everyone on the tables. Every year I am amazed at the amount of people that gather at this event, the guest speakers, the generosity of the sponsors and everyone’s motivation to contribute and support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

To receive more information about this event, visit the following site:  St Jude Fashion Show, hosted by Shaker Recruitment Advertising & Communication.

Don’t forget to take a look at the slideshow and photos to get a feel of the event dynamics.

Portraits in the Park

Here is our Fresh Faces Contest Winner - a little doll! She was such a sweet and happy girl.  She just turned 9 months and mom will be happy to add some new photos to her keepsake album.

I wish the weather was more cooperative but that’s sometimes wishful thinking. We had some wind and cooler temperatures but our little girl kept posing for the camera.

Enjoy the photos!!!

Little Models in Chicago

I had the pleasure to photograph two little models. These kids have already done some modeling jobs, and they needed updated images for their portfolio. Take a look at their photos and the little slideshow. Simply amazing! I couldn’t stop photographing them.

We didn’t get the perfect weather. It was a cloudy day with some rain but that didn’t stop us. They kept changing outfits and posing for the camera. May be next time we’ll go to another fun location and the weather will be better.

Mom - you should be proud of your kids!!!

Beautiful Maternity

I really enjoyed photographing this young lady and her husband. She wanted to do her maternity portraits in the 7th month. They are such a sweet couple and cannot wait for their 1st baby. I’m also expecting the little one to come to this world. They already booked me for their newborn session. Here is a little preview of this beautiful maternity.

Fall Favorites

We have been so lucky with the weather in Chicago this season. We’ve been having such a great fall with plenty of color to photograph. I tried to take advantage of the warmer days to shoot outside and to create some great portraits using the autumn foliage. Once the leaves turn into yellow, red and golden, then it’s my favorite time of the year to photograph. I spent as much time as I could at different parks and took my son to different locations. I feel pretty satisfied with the results, and now it’s time to order some collages, and may be some canvas. Next, I will have to find some time for Christmas photos and cards. It’s been a really busy season.

Halloween Session

This boy came for a Halloween session dressed up as a cowboy. He just turned 18 months, and his family wanted a studio session. I’ve been photographing him and his family for about a year. It’s been a pleasure to see them come back every few months. I’ve really enjoyed capturing his looks and milestones. I can’t wait for his 2nd birthday.

Outside Session for 1st Birthday

This little guy will be turning ONE next month. His family wanted to go out for a laidback photo session in their garden. The weather was beautiful, and this boy was so relaxed. He did really well in front of the camera, and kept me giving me such cute expressions. I enjoyed him and his family so much. Here are a few sneak peek photos.

Christmas Cards…. Are you kidding me?

I can’t believe I’m talking about Christmas cards but it’s mid-September. If you plan to send out some nice Christmas cards with your family or kids photos, please realize that it takes some time to schedule portrait sessions, and to design and receive the cards. I advise all my clients to start planning for Christmas cards early because we may not have enough time later. I’d love to create some custom Christmas cards for your family, and have a variety of templates to choose from. Below are some of the cards. These are all press-printed products, and can be printed on glossy or pearl paper. The deadline for ordering Christmas card is November 28.

Vacation Photos from This Summer

This summer, we went back to Bulgaria for a month stay. We had a great time there, meeting relatives and family. This was my son’s first airplane trip, and it wasn’t fun flying for 12 hours with an 18 month old.  The best part of the vacation was a week at the beach at Black Sea Cost.  We couldn’t stop taking pictures… we had a blast. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you like them too. Soon we’ll be all missing the warm and sunny days.

On a Personal Note

I wanted to share with you something more about me and my family. Originally, I’m from Bulgaria, and English is my 2nd language. I have a boy, Martin, who is year and seven months old. He is a very active boy, full of energy and loves to explore the world. My husband is very supportive of my business, and sometimes he acts as my assistant. He is a great photographer too however he has his own business. He does commercial wiring and network solutions. His website is www.orbitelgroup.com.

For many years, I worked as a business analyst in the financial industry. As matter of fact, I love new technologies and software, and enjoy spending a good amount of time on my computer.  My other interests are psychology and artificial intelligence. At some point of my life, I was thinking about becoming a psychologist.  This was one of my ideas that did not happen. Instead I went to DePaul University and studied Information Systems.

Photography has always been my hobby however after the birth of my son my interest exploded. I was determined to take my skills and knowledge to the next level. I became so involved that I decided to start my own business and to dedicate my time and efforts to photography. In the mean time, I said  “Good Bye” to my day job at the bank, and became free to devote all my energy to my business.  I’m very passionate about photography and I love what I do.  This is what drives me, and this is what motivates me in my life. I’m always thinking about creating the next large print for my walls or the next beautiful photo book.

I’m looking forward to sharing my passion with you, and creating timeless memories for you and your families.
